Top Web Design Trend Prediction for 2019

It is quite difficult to believe that we are starting the final chapter of this decade now that 2019 has arrived. And for the past ten years we have seen the dominance of mobile, and the launch of AMP, AR, AI, VI and many more different platforms. But where do we feel and see the changes when it comes to web design?

The trends in web design have seen the use of traditional stock photos, asymmetrical layouts, bold colour schemes and vibrant illustrations. Then websites became smarter with the advancements in technology. This year, expect aesthetics and technology merge as we have never seen before.

Here are some of our web design trend predictions in 2019:

Black and White Palettes

Colour mostly creates the mood, establishes the brand and leads visitors via an interface with the use of visual landmarks. This year, expect to see daring black and white concepts that create unique statements. The combination of white and black is striking altogether. When you add an accent colour to emphasize an interest the effect provides an impressive call-to-action.

Micro-interactions

Micro-interactions are used to showcase an event which is inviting to those who are interacting with it. This is done when you take even a small action on an app or a website which needs a specific response to it. When you check your Facebook and the red icon showing your message is also counted as a micro-interaction, the same when you refresh your Twitter page and hear a beep. In 2019, the use of micro-interactions will revolve around scroll animations, chimes hover, and the likes with a goal to involve your audience in your site.

For instance, scroll animations are made not just to show creativity in visual web design but is also created to increase the website’s time on page and engagement. Users will be encouraged to scroll or click through the page layouts to show customers their services. However, the use of animations should not confuse customers or take away your goal from engaging them. When done correctly, this can be very effective for users to convert and get sales.

More Video Content

While video content is not a new thing, but they will be used more often this year to cater to the growing audience who don’t have the time to scroll through pages.

Google also made some changes when it comes to different search page results that contain video content and standard web pages. This also led websites to make video production a priority so that they can easily be searched and at the same time offer content in the easiest and shareable way.
